Volunteer Program
Getting Involved Is Easy
By volunteering with us, you will have the chance to:
- Learn more about Poulsbo’s history: Gain in-depth knowledge and insights into our local heritage.
- Meet other people from the area: Build new friendships and expand your network within the community.
- Connect with visitors from around the world: Share our history with a diverse group of people and gain unique perspectives.
- Contribute to the quality of the community: Play a vital role in enhancing the cultural richness and quality of life in Poulsbo.
Your dedication and support are crucial to our mission, and we would be thrilled to have you join our team of volunteers. Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or are looking for a more regular commitment, there is a place for you with us.
Volunteers Needed!
We welcome and depend on volunteers of all types to support Poulsbo Historical Society and its museum venues. Most volunteers commit to a weekly morning or afternoon shift.
Greeters
Greeters welcome guests, and perform other duties as appropriate. Each museum has its own unique ambiance to explore. Possible activities include:
- Maritime Museum – serve as cashier for the museum gift shop.
- Archive & Research Center – assist a visitor in pursuing historical research.
- Martinson Cabin – during a lull on a warm day, putter in the garden!
- Heritage Museum – demonstrate the Regina Music Box and other interesting interactive historical exhibits.
There’s always something to do!
