Frequently Asked Questions

Does the museum charge an entry fee?
No, it's free to explore and enjoy. However, we warmly welcome any donations, which help us continue sharing this space and inspiring others.

Do you have a store?
YES! We offer an incredible selection of gifts for both young and old—perfect keepsakes to remember our beloved little museum, nestled in the heart of our Maritime Museum location.

Do you sell online?
Yes, We have an online store brimming with clothing and gifts featuring incredible designs that we love. However, this store is created through a third party and each item is made to order, so it’s not exactly the same as what you’ll find in our gift shop. Every purchase from this storefront helps us raise funds to support our upcoming events.

I may not have a lot of time to volunteer, but I genuinely want to make a difference—what can I do to help?
We have many volunteer opportunities available, from welcoming visitors as greeters, supporting events, to transcription work. Some of these tasks can be done from home, and most volunteers dedicate just 3 hours a week or lend a hand whenever they can. Every bit of effort truly makes a difference, and your help would mean the world to us.

I have an item I would love to donate—what steps should I take?
We are truly grateful for your generosity and your willingness to share your treasures with us. Before we can welcome your donation, we kindly need to review the item first, ensuring it’s the perfect addition to our museums. We genuinely don’t want your cherished belongings to be tucked away in the Archives, unseen and forgotten. Please reach out to us at info@poulsbohistory.org to arrange a time to meet and discuss your donation.
Additionally, we warmly invite donations for our annual Dinner auction, a special event we cherish deeply. Your support helps keep our history alive and thriving—thank you for considering to be part of it!

I want to make a cash contribution—how can I do that?
We offer multiple ways to give, including donor advised funds, cash, checks, and credit cards. Additionally, we have some incredible sponsorship opportunities that not only support our cause but also provide your name or company with the recognition and prominence it truly deserves.
Please visit our Donation or Sponsorship pages to discover how you can make a difference today.
